Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort is seeking a hands-on and motivated Leading Hand to join our Facilities team. Reporting directly to the Facilities Manager, this role is ideal for an experienced maintenance or grounds professional looking to take the next step into a leadership position.As Leading Hand, you will play a key role in supporting the Facilities Manager by coordinating daily operations, supervising the grounds team, and ensuring maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support the grounds and maintenance team in the delivery of daily operational tasksCoordinate labour resources to ensure work is completed efficiently and in line with operational prioritiesAssist in maintaining landscaping, gardens, roads, pathways, and common areas across the resortSupport the maintenance of utilities infrastructure, including water, gas, electricity, and digital servicesAssist with rubbish and recycling operations across the propertyMonitor the condition of facilities and proactively identify maintenance requirementsWork closely with the Facilities Manager to plan workloads, resources, and project prioritiesLiaise with contractors to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and within agreed timeframesCollaborate with the Financial Administrator regarding contractor scheduling and performanceProvide regular updates to the Facilities Manager on project progress, equipment requirements, and material needsAct as the Facilities Manager's delegate during periods of leave or absencePromote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards
